Welcome.
Below you should find a photo of a chart that covers what we hope will be our cruising area this season.
It has been ten full days of preparation (since we last worked) by both Sharon & I in order to get ready for this trip. You probably wonder what could possibly take so long --- well, here are some examples of things that needed to be done: Researching and finally buying needed supplies for the boat; Preparing and maintaining gear for the trip; Obtaining all the cruising guides and charts needed for the trip; Provisioning for 4 - 5 months on the water; Preparing our home for our absence and hurricane season; Getting the yard into manageable shape; Anticipating and paying all bills in advance; Arranging for the care of our place while we are away; Getting our vehicles in shape for the trip to Maine; and the list goes on and on . . . . But it was decided that we must leave today --- so to bed at 11:00pm and up at 2:00am --- we finally get on the road 1:00pm. One way or the other we were going to make it happen and indeed we did. Made it to Virginia before stopping.
