October has come upon us hard and fast this year. We are suddenly experiencing many cold humid days when it rains all day long. So, we decided to call it a season earlier than expected and continue what remains of our vacation ashore. That decided, we moved our boat to a slip at the boat yard and started our part of the preparation for winter storage.
After three days of unloading, cleaning, and stripping the boat, this is what our home away from home looks like:
It is with sadness that we leave our dear "Evergreen" behind during the winter season.
On the other hand it is with joy that we start thinking about our plans for the next sailing season.
During our adventures this season we traveled a total of 3,136.5 nautical miles.
Be sure to check back for one last post that will include a summary of our thoughts on our experiences, as well as a link to our new 2013 blog.
